One-step rapid tests are based on sandwich immunoassay system and
the immunochromatographic detection assay. If TORCH antibodies are
present in the samples with a concentration above the cut off
level, a labeled antibody-dye complex will be formed. This complex
is then captured by antigen immobilized in the Test Zone (T line)
of the membrane, producing a visible pink-rose color band on the
membrane. The color intensity will depend on the concentration of
TORCH antibody in the samples.
After comparing tests with clinic specimens, compared with Elisa
kits, the Sensitivity of this test panel is 95.2%, and the
specificity 96%.
STORAGE
The TORCH test panel should be stored at room temperature, at
temperature range of 4~30℃ in the sealed pouch before expiration
date.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
There are five result windows altogether, which indicates the
testing result of TOX, RV, CMV, HSV-I and HSV-II respectively.
After applying samples, either one line or two lines will appear in
each result window. The interpretation of the result is as follow:
Negative: Only one pink band appears on control region (C) of the
reading window. This indicates that there is no detectable specific
antibody in the serum.
Positive: Two pink bands appear on test region (T) and the control
region (C) of the result window. This indicates that the specimen
contains detectable amount of related antibody.
Invalid: If no colored band appears on control region (C), this is
an indication of a possible error in performing the test. The test
should be repeated using a new device.
